Chapter 1014 New Cast General

Time passed in silence.

When someone stood up and suggested to Guilliman that the High Lords Council should suspend the meeting to welcome the Forge General who might have encountered some trouble, Guilliman only responded with a silent gesture.

The Supreme Lords stood where they were.

These people whispered to each other and gloated, but they did not show any of their thoughts. From Guilliman's perspective, these people just stood there with their heads down and said nothing, like dead people.

The Supreme Lords have reached a state where they said nothing and had no reaction on the surface, but because they knew each other too well, they could know each other's thoughts and mentality in their hearts as if they could see and hear each other's words and deeds directly.

They did use some methods to make the new Forge General's trip to Terra have some twists and turns, and he could not attend the meeting before Guilliman's patience ran out.

Just as the Supreme Lords had such thoughts, a sound of footsteps came from the corridor outside the hall.

The footsteps sounded unusually heavy, indicating that the person who made such footsteps was very heavy.

Thinking of this, the High Lords were all suspicious, and at the same time, they all had a bad premonition in their hearts.

Until the door of the hall was completely opened.

Calgar, who had run in and whispered a few words to Guilliman and left, seemed to have conveyed some military information and entered the hall first.

After Calgar, a huge warrior, stood sideways against the door, the two people behind him appeared in everyone's sight.

A man dressed as a sage of the Mechanicus, leaning on a gear scepter and wearing a red robe, hunched over.

One was obviously the commander of the Mechanicus Skitarii, a general whose armor was directly embedded in his fleshless body, holding his belt with his left hand and his right hand on the hilt of his sword, holding his head high and chest out, extremely proud.

These two people were clearly the new Forge General and the military commander who was inseparable from him.

The High Lords did not react on the surface, acting very naturally and not at all surprised.

But they were all exclaiming in their hearts, why didn't this bastard go to the Stone Fortress instead of grinding the program in Terra?

As someone who had heard Calgar say that the Forge General had come, Guilliman should not have been surprised, but he was still very surprised.

It was not because the Forge General did not delay time in Terra but came directly to the Stone Fortress, but because of the identity of the new Forge General.

"Vic?" Guilliman stared at the body of the new Forge General, "Are you the new Forge General?"

"Before you, as the regent, personally conferred my identity, this last step, I was certainly not the Forge General, but the Ruling Sage of Agrippina." Vic made a gear salute, and the flesh-and-blood face installed for diplomacy and mediation showed a smile, "But now that you have conferred it in person and completed this step, then I am the Forge General."

Guilliman stared at Vic.

The Primarch's mood was very complicated.

Vic, the Ruling Sage of Agrippina.

This guy once accompanied the Inquisition to inspect the Tyrone Sector as Belisarius Cawl's deputy, and then became the Sage Ruler by mistake during the Defense of Agrippina during the Empire's defense of the Black Crusade.

Later, during the Defense of Tyrone, Vic organized an expedition within the Mechanicus, calling on many Forge Worlds to contribute people and money for the "Pilgrimage Expedition".

Then he was quiet for a while. Even though he did not participate in the Golden Crusade, you can guess who is behind him with your toes.

The Supreme Lords are likely to unite to exclude this person who is too close to the Tyrone people, and then set off a round of internal fighting.

But in addition to worrying, Guilliman also felt a little happy, because he felt that Vic's appearance was like Qin Mo secretly helping him. At least there is such a person around the Supreme Lord, so he doesn't have to argue with all the Supreme Lords in the future.

"I didn't expect you to be the new Forge General. I haven't heard of this at all." Guilliman held his forehead and slowly exhaled, "No wonder. Your Mechanicus is relatively independent, and I'm not on Terra."

"Isn't the Regent worried that I will cause a civil war in the Mechanicus?" Vic suddenly asked.

Guilliman suddenly looked at the other Supreme Lords, and was surprised that Vic could ask such a question so directly on this occasion.

But the other Supreme Lords were expressionless and motionless.

Guilliman then realized that everything around him had stagnated for a short time.

"Lord Talon really gave you a lot of good things." Guilliman smiled and shook his head, "I used to worry that if you intended to compete for the position of Forge General, it might lead to a civil war, but since you have been selected as the Forge General and have been pushed out to represent the interests of the Mechanicus, it's okay."

Hearing this, Vic smiled, sighed, and sighed.

It is not easy to gain recognition within the Mechanicus.

Being close to Tyrone is not a big problem, but having worked with Kaul before...

Being able to become a casting general is partly due to the reputation accumulated over the past hundred years, and partly due to influence.

With the STC in his left hand and the doctrine of "Who is the real Om Messiah" in his right hand, he openly shared the former to gain fame, and secretly promoted the latter.

In addition, the STC that can improve the Forge World, which is like a mountain of shit code, really makes Sage Vic famous.

But Vic does not think that he represents the interests of the Mechanicus as Guilliman said. The election of the Forge General is an extremely complicated matter. He only dares to say that most of the people in the Mechanicus support him, and this majority has affected the appointment of the Forge General, that's all.

After sighing in his heart, Vic glanced at the Supreme Lords and talked about the important things at the moment: "After I arrived at Terra, I found that everything was not going well, just like Om Messiah did not allow me to take office as the Forge General. At that time, I guessed that these guys were trying to prevent me from taking office on time, but they did not seem to target me alone, but..."

"Instead, they are putting pressure on me. You guessed right." Guilliman looked down on the Supreme Lords, "They don't want to start a war. They try every means to put pressure on me and use me as a wishing machine to let me find a way to avoid war, but now war is really unavoidable."

Vic lowered his eyebrows and thought for a moment, then raised his hand, and the Supreme Lords who were frozen as if isolated from the entire space just now were all normal.

"The Adeptus Mechanicus will make full preparations for the coming war." Vic glanced at the High Lords, "Just like you and the Imperial institutions you represent."

The High Lords did not hesitate at all, and echoed Vic's words, expressing their support as firmly as at the beginning of the meeting, and then quickly went through the process, issuing a war preparation order in the name of the High Lords Council and the Regent, as smooth as if these High Lords really fully supported Guilliman.
