Shajiao B Power Plant is the first engineering project built in the "Build-Operate-Transfer" (BOT) mode. It is controlled by Pengcheng and Xiangjiang Hopewell Industrial Co., Ltd. participates in the shares. However, Pengcheng is only responsible for providing land and operating fuel, and the construction funds of the power plant are raised by Hong Kong.
The power plant implemented the management system of Country Y, using the technology and equipment provided by Japanese companies, and was supervised by Japanese companies. The first unit of Plant B was put into operation on April 22, 1987, and the second unit was put into operation three months later.
Shajiao C Power Plant was jointly built by Guangdong Province and Xiangjiang Hopewell Industrial Co., Ltd., using a financing method similar to that of Plant B. Guangdong Province holds a controlling stake and is responsible for operation, and the cooperation period is 20 years.
