Phantom Thief Kidd in the Comic World

Chapter 65: Joining Forces

(This chapter may subvert the inherent perception of Daredevil)

"There are few blind people in Hell's Kitchen who dare to break into Kingpin's territory at night, so your movements are very suspicious."

Daredevil said with his face facing McGonagall. Why do you say that?

Because he can't see. Although he can't see, no matter how McGonagall moves, Daredevil's face is always facing McGonagall.

It's no different from a person with normal vision.

"Is this the reason why you attacked me just now?"

Daredevil didn't say anything, obviously acquiescing.

McGonagall lost his temper for a while. How can this person attack others with a clear conscience and act as if nothing happened?

Didn't he even apologize?

He was talking to himself from the beginning.

So, superheroes are essentially no different from super villains. They are all very self-centered.

"I've heard of you, Daredevil from Hell's Kitchen, and I know you have a deep hatred for Kingpin."

McGilson didn't want to waste time with this guy. Since Daredevil didn't recognize him, he would just send him away.

"Listen, I'm here for Kingpin this time, so we're not enemies. Strictly speaking, we should be in the same camp."

Daredevil was indifferent to what McGilson said, and he didn't know whether he believed it or not, but at least McGilson could feel that Lawyer Ma in front of him had no hostility towards him.

"I believe you."

Suddenly, Daredevil said something out of the blue, and McGilson didn't understand it for a while.

"Your heartbeat tells me that you're not a bad person, so I believe you... Then, maybe we can join forces to fight Kingpin!"

McGilson's eyes became complicated. Can this guy change his face a little slower?

"You are not from Hell's Kitchen, so it is difficult for you to imagine how terrifying Kingpin is. Although your heartbeat is much stronger than that of a normal person, which means that your strength is also far beyond that of an ordinary person, I guess this may be your reliance on Kingpin."

Daredevil began to talk to himself again. He was very confident, as if he had seen through Maggieson.

"But it is impossible to defeat Kingpin just by this point. It is difficult to deal with his capable subordinate Bullseye."

Maggieson was thinking of rejecting him and leaving, but soon he realized that the existence of Daredevil might be the key to muddying the water.

The charity hall on the 21st floor of the Wilson Building can only accommodate 3,000 people. After excluding a small number of guests, almost all of them are gangsters under Kingpin.

Fisk is different from his previous opponents. He will not allow the police to enter for garrison. It would be fine if it was held in the main hall or square on the first floor. The interior of the building hides many secrets of Kingpin. How could the police be allowed to enter at will?

So most of the people George brought will be entrenched around the Wilson Building.

As long as he leaves the building, Kingpin will not dare to attack casually.

But the situation inside the building is not a favorable situation for Maggieson. With Daredevil to attract attention, it will be very different.

But before that, he must first make sure that Daredevil can really be trusted, so that when he really takes action, this guy will deal with him first.

He vaguely remembered that Daredevil and Kingpin had a history of joining forces in some comics.

"Daredevil, do you know who I am? You want to join forces with me?"

Maggieson spread his cloak, and his confident, elegant and noble temperament emerged spontaneously. Although the person opposite him is blind and can't see anything, being handsome is a lifelong thing!

"I am... Kaito Kidd!"

"Kaito Kidd?"

After hearing this name, Daredevil was obviously stunned for a few seconds. It took him a long time to remember that when he heard the news some time ago, it was said that Gotham seemed to have a thief named Kaito Kidd.

"Oh, it's you, the modern Robin. I've heard about your deeds. Although stealing is against the law, what's the difference between us vigilantes who use lynching?"

Matt is a top student in the law department. In the superhero community, few people can understand the contradictory side of the law better than him.

On the one hand, he respects the law and regards it as the only creed to restrain himself. On the other hand, he knows that the law can never punish the truly rich and powerful criminals, so he has to wear a mask and hide in the night to maintain the justice he insists on.

Daredevil sighed.

"You, the phantom thief, have never hurt anyone. Compared with a guy I know who doesn't take human life seriously, you are countless times kinder. I can even regard that guy as a friend, so why can't I join forces with you to deal with a truly evil person?"

----------------

An hour and a half later, Maggieson returned home quietly.

Charlie had fallen asleep on the sofa, and there was no sign of outsiders entering.

It seems that no one in Gotham really doubts him anymore.

Finally, Daredevil agreed to help Maggieson attract Kingpin's attention. He could take the Dresden Green Diamond, but Matt finally put forward a condition, that is, after stealing the Green Diamond, he should use it to help more people instead of greedily taking it for himself.

This was nothing to Maggieson, he had always thought so.

Anonymous donation to a museum or sending it to the police station was the stupidest way, because Kingpin would use all kinds of legal means to get it back to him.

But Maggieson always felt that Daredevil's sudden show of goodwill was a bit unreal.

Even if Matt said that his heartbeat made him believe that he was not a bad person, he would not invite a stranger to fight Kingpin together.

No matter how I think about it, it seems hasty.

"Has the hatred between Kingpin and Daredevil reached this point?"

Maggieson can only use this explanation.

------------

On the other side, in an ordinary pen shop in New York, Bob wore a pair of gentle glasses. He looked harmless and honest. He didn't show his sharpness and shrewdness when he was an agent.

Suddenly, a phone rang, but the sound did not come from the phone in the store, but from the office next door.

Bob's eyes moved, and he immediately closed the door of the store, and then walked into the office to answer the phone.

"Bob."

A familiar voice came, and Bob smiled.

"George, you, the busy chief, finally have time to contact me, an old classmate?"

Bob joked that George and he used to be good friends who studied in the same school, but they chose different positions after graduation.

But this did not affect their personal relationship, otherwise George, as the police chief, would never be able to bring himself to ask for help from the CIA.

"What's the matter with calling my private phone so late?"

After the joke, it was time to talk about business.

"I'm sorry. I know you're planning to retire now, so I shouldn't bother you, but I need your help urgently."

George said apologetically.

"After all, you're the only person I know who has come into contact with Kaito Kidd..."
