Chapter 91 Bruce and Stark
(I seem to have a stomach upset today, I feel so uncomfortable, I went to the toilet two or three times after writing one chapter, I will go to the infirmary later, I am not sure if there will be two more chapters today)
"I believe everyone knows Wayne Enterprises in Gotham, and I have heard that their boss is also a dissolute playboy like me before."
"To be honest, I really didn't expect him to attend my expo at first, because since eight years ago, this playboy has been living in seclusion. I think the board of directors of Wayne Enterprises is about to remove him. I thought he would never step out of his manor in his life."
Tony joked in a funny tone.
"Let's welcome-Bruce Wayne!"
As soon as the voice fell, the spotlight shone on someone in the VIP seat in the audience.
It was Bruce.
Bruce stood up, walked onto the booth with a smile on his face, and stood side by side with Tony.
"Wow, Tony, you built this place so magnificently that it almost dazzles me."
Bruce joked as soon as he came up.
"I haven't seen this world for eight years. I feel like I'm almost a savage."
As soon as this was said, the audience burst into laughter.
"No, no, no, Bruce, if you are a savage, then I would rather be a savage. Although Daggett has messed up your company, I have to say that this person is very resourceful..."
Tony said seriously.
"During the eight years since you gave up managing the company, Daggett has embezzled a large number of Wayne Enterprises shares. If you hadn't come forward, he would have been the new chairman of Wayne Enterprises and would have been unshakable. However, just one month after your comeback, you made Daggett spit out the shares he had swallowed."
"This is not something a 'savage' can do. There was a person in my company who looked very similar to Daggett, but I never saw his true face until he used new weapons on me and tried to take my life. Then I realized that the person I trusted most had betrayed me."
"So, after I knew his true face, I swore to stab his ass, and then I did it."
Tony laughed.
"Bruce, I can't use the cumbersome and complicated business methods like you to defeat my opponent, because I think that kind of efficiency is too low."
"Dagget is a villain with a bad record. If I were to protect the city of Gotham, I would definitely put on my battle suit and rush into his house and press his head to the ground, asking him if he is willing to atone for his mistakes. If he is not willing, I will smash his head with a palm cannon."
Tony's words once again made the audience laugh, and everyone knew that Tony was joking.
However, Bruce, who was standing closest to Tony, didn't think so.
In his opinion, Tony Stark was also a guy who didn't take the law seriously, especially recently Tony showed a serious tendency to self-destruction.
Judging from Bruce's experience, this is a sign of embarking on a criminal path.
Especially Tony's previous speech, it seemed that he attributed the credit for world peace to himself, and he looked like a self-proclaimed god.
What happens when a person regards himself as a god?
He will judge the world unscrupulously, and all orders and rules cannot restrain him.
Bruce narrowed his eyes slightly. Iron Man's previous actions were just and he fought against terrorists everywhere, which was indeed remarkable.
However, Tony Stark's performance was quite worrying.
Especially since he still had world-leading technology.
In Bruce's view, Tony was like a time bomb that could explode at any time and threaten the whole world.
But on the surface, Bruce still maintained a friendly smile of business.
"Tony, the person you are talking about should be Obadiah. He is indeed a very shrewd businessman, and Daggett is far inferior to him."
"I don't like businessmen, and I don't like politicians. I believe that technology is the key to achieving world peace."
Tony expressed his disdain for certain groups, even though he himself was a businessman and the head of a businessman.
These remarks made the crowd cheer for him and applaud.
"Bruce, do you know... Batman?"
Tony turned to Bruce and asked.
"I think no one in Gotham doesn't know Batman."
Bruce said with a normal expression.
"I think so too. What do you think of Batman, the second superhero in the world?"
"The second superhero?"
"The first one is Captain America, who is dead. Look at the existing superheroes in the world. I was kidnapped to Afghanistan last year. Iron Man was born at that time. The others have only emerged in recent years... Only Batman started fighting crime ten years ago and disappeared for eight years."
"Everyone thinks that Batman killed Harvey Dent eight years ago. Bruce, do you think so too?"
Tony asked, staring into Bruce's eyes.
Bruce responded to Tony's gaze, "If the murderer is not Batman, then who killed Harvey Dent? I don't think he would have committed suicide."
When he chose to take the blame, Bruce had decided to carry it for the rest of his life.
The effectiveness of the Dent Act in the past eight years has proved that no matter how many superheroes there are, they are not as useful as a truly effective system.
"So, I think Batman has never been a superhero, and he has never thought about becoming a hero."
When he said this, Bruce's expression was more serious than ever.
Tony didn't know what to say for a moment.
"Well, I think everyone knows me well enough now, Tony, I won't interrupt your personal show."
Bruce smiled, and the seriousness just now was swept away.
Tony was the only one left on the booth.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Wayne, Tony is just like that. If he has offended you in any way, I apologize to you on his behalf."
After Bruce returned to his seat, he heard a lady next to him speaking to him in an apologetic tone.
"You are..."
"Virginia Pepper Potts."
Pepper slowly said her full name.
"Pozz? You are the new CEO of Stark Industries. Tony values you so much. I thought you must be a beautiful and intelligent woman. Today, I saw that you are just as I thought."
Bruce praised.
"Mr. Wayne, you must be kidding? How could Tony value me? I am afraid that I am not as good as that suit in his heart. He probably made me the CEO just to let me deal with that mess."
Pepper smiled bitterly.
