Chapter 884 The Reality of the Desire Realm
Li Qi came to the outskirts of Xuanjing Mountain.
Here, Shariputra and Prince Devil were both here.
It was an amazing scene.
Li Qi had never thought that his arrival would attract these two people at the same time.
But they all came.
He just stretched out his hand, and the scenery around him changed, but he saw countless water columns rising, and then a thin light burst out, the sound was slightly louder, like hitting a hub, and the light was like a rope dragging.
Several tables and chairs were taken out from the void, and there were more and more sounds, and then thunder rose from the waves, the light was lightning, and the clouds were born. Soon, a fairyland-like pavilion was born out of thin air.
"Please sit down, both of you." Li Qi stretched out his hand and invited Shariputra and Prince Devil to sit down.
Prince Devil was not polite, and walked up directly with a cane and sat down opposite Li Qi.
Shariputra put his hands together, performed a Buddhist ceremony, and then slowly walked over and sat next to Prince Devil.
Li Qi was brewing tea next to him. He boiled the spiritual spring very skillfully, then refined fire and lit water. Using the method of water and fire, he forced the breath of tea leaves into the water, and then mixed it with the water vapor to transform it into a brand new Tao rhyme. Mortals can get the system directly after drinking a sip, and their cultivation will improve rapidly from then on.
Then, he poured the mixed spiritual spring for the two guests. Only then did Li Qi say, "You two are really rare guests. I wonder why you are here this time?"
"Thus I have heard——" Shariputra answered directly.
When these four words came out, both Li Qi and the Demon Prince were shocked, and then sat up straight.
Thus I have heard, that is to say... Shariputra is narrating about the Buddha.
This made the Demon Prince frown and look at Shariputra.
This is really...
But Shariputra ignored all that and continued to say: "The Buddha said: All dharmas are not visible to the eyes. All conditioned dharmas have no self-nature. If all wise people know conditioned dharmas, they know dharmas. If they know dharmas, they know emptiness. If they know emptiness, they see wisdom. All conditioned dharmas are unborn. Because they have no self-nature, if we say conditioned dharmas, we say emptiness. If we know emptiness, we are not negligent. All non-empty theorists have set up difficult statements. If we establish that all conditioned things are empty, then there is no color. Just like a thing with conditions, there are infinite wisdom."
This is very difficult to understand and goes around in circles.
But it is not difficult for Li Qi and the demon prince to understand.
How can there be self-nature? If you fall into the conditioned dharmas of consciousness, you will mistake all dharmas for independence. So if there is birth and death, it is an independent individual, and it is the individual that is born and dies. In this way, the individual is regarded as an independent existence. This so-called individual does not exist based on conditioned dharmas. Since it does not rely on conditioned dharmas, it cannot be seen that it must be completed based on action. In this way, all dharmas can be seen as having their own natures. The birth, residence, change, and extinction of all dharmas become phenomena with their own natures, that is, the appearances with their own natures.
In other words, this is the existence of ‘reality’.
The ‘self-nature’ in the Buddhist language can actually be understood as the reality in Li Qi’s mouth. Although there are some differences between the two, they can basically be regarded as the same existence that maintains itself.
The Buddha said here that ‘all conditioned dharmas have no self-nature’, which means that the phenomenon itself has no reality.
For example, for a giant, they can see the mountains in the mortal world and cross them with one step, just like walking. There is no mountain to climb. It is also like a person walking and encountering a stone, and stepping over it with one foot. However, for an ant, this stone is like a huge mountain.
All things are formed by nature, in accordance with nature, and each adapts to its own obstacles. What people see cannot be regarded as the appearance seen by ants, nor can what heavenly beings see be regarded as the appearance seen by people. Therefore, it is said that “appearance has no self-nature”.
The Tathagata has thirty-two characteristics, but if you don't see through this, you can't see the real 'Tathagata'.
It sounds simple, but it's not simple in practice, because we don't actually know the world in the eyes of others.
Li Qi doesn't know what the world looks like in the eyes of the demon prince, so how can he know whether he sees a high mountain or a flat road?
Therefore, those who can do this can be called 'immeasurable wisdom'.
What the Buddha meant by this is that we should know that there is such a difference, distinguish this difference, and understand the relationship between 'reality' and 'phenomenon'. As the saying goes, "The self-nature of others is born without self-nature, because it is born according to the cause and effect, not self-generated."
Phenomenon is a derivative, so phenomenon is not real and is part of 'emptiness'.
Moreover, at this time, the Tathagata said this to Li Qi, which was different.
Li Qi instantly realized that the Buddha was talking about the 'desire realm'.
So, is the desire realm 'self-nature' or 'phenomenon'?
According to the quality and ability of the desire realm, there is no doubt that the desire realm should have reality.
But don't forget!
The Desire Realm is the ‘sum of all sentient beings’ desires and realities’.
In other words, the Desire Realm is essentially a derivative of sentient beings, and according to the Buddha, ‘all conditioned phenomena have no self-nature’.
Phenomena have no self-nature.
The Desire Realm is a standard phenomenon.
So, the Buddha is telling Li Qi that the essence of the Desire Realm has no reality!
This reminds Li Qi of a strange phenomenon, which may serve as evidence for this view, that is, the ‘secondary heavenly demon’.
As an existence similar to a natural phenomenon caused by the heavenly demon, the highest level of the secondary heavenly demon is the fourth grade, because the secondary heavenly demon cannot have the reality of the third grade or higher, so even things born from the thoughts of the heavenly demon cannot achieve the third grade.
In other words, the secondary heavenly demon as a ‘phenomenon’ is also ‘born according to conditioned phenomena, not self-born’.
So, what about the Desire Realm as a creation of the heavenly demon?
These words made Li Qi take a breath of cold air and immediately looked at the Demon Prince next to him.
Shariputra also set his sights on the Demon Prince.
Li Qi knew that after reaching the third level, he would know many, many things and come into contact with other powerful people, but the first blow was such a heavyweight, and he was really not prepared...
The Demon Prince simply ignored their gazes and continued speaking to himself: "Are you done? It's my turn now."
"Well, my words have been brought to you, please." Shariputra nodded.
The Demon Prince continued. He looked at Li Qi and said: "What you and Shariputra said is about you and the demons, and has nothing to do with me. I came here this time without bringing the words of the demons, and it has nothing to do with them. I just want to Just talking about you and me.”
"I understand, please speak, Shang Fan." Li Qi made a gesture, indicating to the Demon Prince to continue.
"——Cough" Hearing his name, the Demon Prince seemed quite uncomfortable, but he just put his hand in front of his mouth and coughed dryly.
Even though he was wearing a mask, I didn't know why he did this action.
"Then let me tell you straight, Li Qi, I will give you a chance to kill me, right here." The Demon Prince sat in front of Li Qi, took off his heavy mask, then picked up the tea cup and gently Sip the tea gently.
The black jade mask without any gaps was placed on the table.
Then, he put down the tea cup: "Now, with your ability, you should be able to kill me, right? If you don't take action here, you will have no chance in the future."
Shariputra looked at the Demon Prince in surprise.
Li Qize suddenly realized something and said: "...Ah, the Death Demon, right? The self-destructive tendency brought about by the Death Demon's Tao Yun is something I have just studied recently."
"The rhyme of the dead demon? That's it." Shariputra nodded slightly and suddenly interjected: "Donor, if you are not enlightened, have not eliminated your ego, and have no clear mind and nature, then of course all the experiences in your heart are real, and you should suffer. There will still be pain. The Dharma is the real Dharma, not the oral Dharma, and it is not just verbal talk. Before attaining enlightenment, no one can escape all kinds of troubles and pains. Pretending to be empty or pretending to see through will reveal their true colors."
"Did I talk to you?" The Demon Prince glanced at Shariputra.
Shariputra just put his hands together and chanted the Buddha's name without continuing.
It's not necessary, the Demon Prince must have understood.
At this time, Li Qi said: "The impulse brought by the Death Demon Dao Yun... Well, and I really want to kill you, but I always have a feeling that I shouldn't do it at this time."
"If you don't take action now, you will definitely regret it later." The Demon Prince said.
"Really? Would you do anything to my family and friends?" Li Qi asked.
"No." The Demon Prince replied naturally.
Indeed not, because there is no need.
Since Li Qi doesn't destroy him, he will destroy Li Qi. The Demon Prince never does unnecessary things. His purpose since his practice is very clear, which is to 'become stronger'.
Unlike Li Qi, who wants love, freedom, the pursuit of self-worth, education of his daughter, building a force, finding answers, and avoiding the pursuit of demons, Li Qi does things for a long time, and things are too much. Too much, too tiring.
But the Demon Prince is different. He is alone, with neither natural enemies nor any burdens. Everything is for the purpose of becoming stronger, which is no different from martial arts.
The only difference is that even martial arts need to think about the question of "why to fight", but the Demon Prince doesn't even need to think about this question.
He simply became stronger and implemented all his cognitions as he pleased.
It can be said that the Demon Prince is the simplest person Li Qi has ever seen, so simple that it is terrifying.
He is not the kind of hot-blooded idiot or stupid and cute person that comes to mind when talking about "innocent", but an extremely terrifying "single-thread".
There is only one perception.
There is only one goal.
There are no distracting thoughts or distractions.
Obviously there are billions of roads in front of him, but he will always only take the one under his feet. The other so-called 'long roads' and 'shortcuts' are completely invisible.
It's so simple, that's why it's so 'extreme'.
Speaking of "only me", this is most vividly demonstrated by the Demon Prince. He cares about nothing but himself, and nothing is important except himself. In all things, he is the only one.
This is also the basis of the strength of the Demon Prince. He is indeed a born demon.
Fortunately, the Demon Prince does not have a bad personality. Although he is cold, he is not bloodthirsty and has no bad hobbies. The most common thing he does is to find people to fight. Usually he is either fighting or on the way to fight.
If you are the enemy of the Demon Prince, you don’t have to worry about plots and plots.
But... in the same way, if the Demon Prince chooses to kill Li Qi, the best way is to kill the Demon Prince now.
The simple devil prince will not use conspiracy and trickery, he will only come forward with A head-on.
Although, it really hurts when he A comes over.
But just as it happened, Li Qi also hoped that the Demon Prince could target him. In this way, he actually got a powerful bodyguard.
That's right, bodyguard.
The Demon Prince was too strong and had extraordinary potential, but he was still stubborn. He said he wanted to kill Li Qi, so Li Qi had to and could only die in his hands.
If anyone else dares to touch Li Qi, or even interfere with Li Qi's heyday, they will probably be chased and beaten to death by the Demon Prince.
Of course, if someone is really hunted down by the Demon Prince, he probably won't feel happy.
He will die, really die.
Even though Li Qi is already a third-grade, he knows that the Demon Prince is a huge threat to him. If the Demon Prince reaches the third grade in the future and Li Qi is still like this, he will definitely be twisted off by the Demon Prince.
But Li Qi thought again and again, and finally said: "So, leave."
"Okay, this is your choice, then I will also give you enough respect, please wait." The Demon Prince nodded and turned to leave this place.
Please wait, wait for the Demon Prince's highest respect.
Li Qi has become the only target of the Demon Prince now.
A feeling of thorns in the back emerged behind Li Qi, and he twisted to get rid of this feeling.
It's okay, this is the best choice.
After he left, only Shariputra was left.
Shariputra just watched what happened just now, then looked at Li Qi and said, "Donor Li Qi, this may be your only chance to kill the Demon Prince."
"If I take action, then the Heavenly Demon will definitely take action. Before the Demon Prince grows up, the Heavenly Demon will not allow anyone to kill him, even if the witch god does it himself." Li Qi said.
This is indeed the most likely time to kill the Demon Prince, but the Heavenly Demon will definitely go crazy.
"The Buddha and the witch gods will take action... But it doesn't matter. Since you, Li Qi, have made a decision and the cause has been planted, then let it be." Shariputra didn't say much on this topic.
He looked at Li Qi and said, "Everything I said just now, Li Qi, do you understand what it is?"
Hearing this, Li Qi nodded: "I think... I should understand, the Buddha wants to tell me the reason why sentient beings can achieve the third grade."
The reason for achieving the third grade, this is Li Qi's summary of all the words of the Buddha before.
Sariputra nodded heavily, then performed a Buddhist salute, closed his eyes and said solemnly: "The Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and realized the reality and mystery of the universe."
Li Qi listened carefully, what was said here was the Buddha's enlightenment.
Sariputra continued to narrate: "Then, the Buddha's first sentence was: 'Strange! Strange! How can these sentient beings have the wisdom of the Tathagata, but are ignorant and confused, and do not know or see?'"
It's really strange! It turns out that all sentient beings have Buddha nature and wisdom that is not inferior to their own. Why are they ignorant and confused and cannot realize it?
The underlying meaning of this sentence is that every living being with high wisdom is actually "the future third grade or above".
