Chapter 5 The Corridor and Medal Exhibition Room on the Fourth Floor
Ginny walked in the dark castle on tiptoe. It was almost twelve o'clock now, and there was no light in the corridor. The wind whistled in the darkness, and the tall trees outside the castle swayed their branches in the wind, like twisted bird-shaped man-eating monsters.
All this made Ginny a little scared.
She was suspicious and panicked, and the slightest noise made her tremble with fear.
Now Ginny regretted putting away the diary. Maybe a three-headed monster that eats people without blinking will appear at the next corner? Ron told her that a friend of theirs put a three-headed dog as big as a house in the castle last semester.
But even if she had the diary, Mr. Riddle couldn't help her.
"Mr. Riddle..."
She could only hold the diary tightly in her arms, trying to draw a little bit of weak courage from it, as if she was not alone, but had someone to accompany her.
Maybe this diary really has such magic. Ginny gradually felt relieved, and she found that this huge castle seemed to be scary in appearance, but in fact, it was extremely spacious, and very simple and gorgeous. It was much more interesting than her crowded little home.
She now fully realized the fun of night wandering in this castle. She could do whatever she wanted without caring about school rules. She could run in the corridor as she wanted, even if she picked up a wand and made sparks. At most, she might be warned by the portraits on the wall or the ghosts passing by.
Just like now, Ginny met the ghost of Gryffindor——
"It's not good for a little girl to wander around the castle alone at night. Ah, Gryffindor, it's obvious! Let me think about it, Ginny Weasley, right? The hair of the Weasley family is really easy to recognize. But you actually went on a night wandering on the first day of school. You are better than your two brothers!" Sir Nicholas said happily.
"Hello, Nick who almost lost his head." Ginny knew Nick, of course, because this year, like in previous years, he performed his "separate action" at the Gryffindor table, but unfortunately there was still a little flesh between his head and neck.
"It's impolite, you don't even want to call me Sir!" Sir Nicholas said in a pretended angry tone.
Speaking of almost losing his head, this is indeed a pity. According to him, he was not happy that the axe had chopped his neck dozens of times.
"Okay Sir Nicholas." Ginny immediately changed her words.
"Good boy! I wish you a happy night tour. In addition, don't go to the fifth floor. Peeves is over there. Don't use your wand. Be careful not to attract Filch." Sir Nicholas, who was in a good mood, reminded him twice and passed through the wall with his head hanging on his neck.
So Ginny put away her wand and continued to walk forward in the dark. Not long after, she reached the edge of the corridor on the fourth floor and found a wooden door.
"That's it! Locked? That's not a problem for me - open it all at once." She pulled out her wand, and the lock on the wooden door opened with a sound, and it fell to the ground with a sound.
Ginny couldn't help but feel proud: "Fortunately, Mr. Riddle taught me all the spells in the first grade."
She happily pushed the door open and walked in. The room was pitch black -
"Fluorescent."
The front end of the wand lit up immediately, lighting up the room.
But to Ginny's disappointment, the room was extremely boring, and there was nothing. There was no scary three-headed dog that would fall asleep when it heard the song, and there was no trap door leading to the underground.
"There's nothing here." She laid the diary flat on the ground, holding the glowing wand in one hand, and wrote crookedly.
"Maybe Dumbledore restored all of these." Cyrus responded to her, "But there are still many interesting things in the castle. Do you know how many secret passages and secret rooms there are? Or if you are hungry at night and want to eat something, just go to the bottom of the hall. There is a fruit painting there. Scratch the pear in the painting and it will become a door handle."
"Forget it, I'm not very hungry. I've eaten enough at the dinner." Ginny refused. She was a little disappointed that she didn't find anything related to Harry, but she soon thought of something else.
"By the way, Mr. Riddle. You said before that you won a special contribution award? Can I go and see it?"
"Of course." Cyrus said immediately, "I'm glad you still remember this. The medal display room is on the fourth floor. It's just a few turns from here."
So Ginny closed the diary again, extinguished the light of the wand, and walked out quietly.
A few minutes later, another shadow appeared here.
"Hurry up, Mrs. Norris - catch those little devils who violated the school rules! I heard the sound!" Filch's voice was hoarse and unpleasant, just like an evil wizard who drank too much potion. However, if that were the case, he might be happier.
His legs were not very good, and he ran over awkwardly with an oil lamp in one hand.
"Ah, I found it, a lock! Careless guy!" He excitedly picked up the chain that fell on the ground. How much he wanted to tie the chain to those little wizards and let them hang on the roof for a few days!
"Hurry, it must be the two boys from the Weasley family! Don't let them run away!" He urged, Mrs. Norris sniffed the remaining smell on the ground vigorously, and slowly followed Ginny's pace.
——
Ginny was walking around in the medal display room. There must have been a traceless extension spell cast here, because this classroom was much larger than it looked from the outside.
Many medals were placed in rows, including trophies from Quidditch matches, some other competitions, and some with the names of prefects and grade presidents... All of these were placed behind a huge glass.
With the weak light, Ginny saw Percy's name on it.
At the same time, she naturally saw Tom Riddle's name.
In fact, this name has appeared many times in the medal display room, and Ginny can fully imagine how outstanding the other party is. The Special Contribution Award is completely different from other awards. This medal is very large, highlighting its special status. It's just that it doesn't say why Tom Riddle won the award.
Ginny was suddenly full of curiosity. She couldn't help but want to know the answer immediately, so she opened the diary again-this is almost becoming her signature move.
However, this time the diary was interrupted before it was opened!
A hand stretched out from the darkness and grabbed Ginny's wrist.
Ginny's eyes widened in horror!
Please recommend and collect, my lovely babies, please don't keep the book! ! I love you.
