Chapter 285 Shopping
After Fawkes sent Wade away, Dumbledore sat in his office, with Tom Riddle's diary under his palm.
At this moment, this diary was no different from any diary in a Muggle store. It looked ordinary, but Dumbledore could sense the evil power of the Horcrux from it.
The locket was already a relatively mature work of Voldemort, which could see through the weaknesses and darkness in people's hearts, but its owner actually left very little "information" on it.
But the diary was different. Voldemort's technology was not so sophisticated when he made it, and he might have left too many "thoughts" here.
But Dumbledore had no interest in exploring it for the time being. He just stared at the diary unconsciously, and what flashed through his mind was still the phantom formed on the locket.
Ariana...
Although he knew it was fake, when he saw her again, Dumbledore still felt as if his heart was torn open.
The most cowardly, dark, and regretful part of his heart was exposed so unexpectedly.
So much so that... when Wade said he had another Horcrux in his hand, Dumbledore subconsciously thought he was talking about the Resurrection Stone.
That black stone was what he desired most and what he feared most.
The legendary story had already shown that the dead would not really be resurrected.
But if Ariana's soul really came back...
What would she want to say?
...
Wade stayed at Sirius's house in Privet Drive at noon. After lunch, they planned to go to Diagon Alley to buy something together.
Lupin was going to make a French meal at noon, but there were not enough ingredients, so Wade and Harry simply went out to buy them together.
"Beef, eggs, onions, cabbage..."
Wade looked at the list Lupin made, and Harry took a box of eggs and put them in the cart.
While they were choosing, the two heard a rude laugh.
A group of teenagers were in the sports equipment area, holding boxing gloves and sparring with each other. One of the tall and strong boys strangled his companion's neck to show off the way he knocked someone down.
Harry frowned: "Oh, it's Dudley and the others."
"Your cousin?" Wade asked.
He had also recognized Dudley - there was no doubt that the tallest and fattest blond boy was Dudley Dursley, who was much fatter than last year.
"Well." Harry showed a look of disgust: "Let's go around them."
He pushed the cart to the other side, but before he turned around, he was seen by Dudley's friends.
"Look! Who is that?" A thin boy shouted loudly: "The dirty Potter boy!"
A group of boys gathered around, but Dudley stayed at the end, showing an embarrassment.
It's not that he didn't want to bully Harry anymore... It's just that Dudley was afraid of the weird methods of wizards, and he didn't want to lose face in front of his friends and let them know that he was actually a little afraid of the "Potter boy".
He walked slowly to the end.
"Hey, Potter, have you made a new friend?"
A sloppy, thin boy rushed to the front, looking at Wade with his eyes drooping. He wanted to bully him, but when the two looked at each other, he immediately realized that the man in front of him was not easy to mess with.
So the thin boy still aimed his firepower at Harry and taunted: "Man, maybe you just came and don't know how bad this Potter kid next to you is-no school is willing to accept him, so he can only go to the juvenile school!"
"Shut your stinky mouth, Pete! Don't scream like a pig!"
Harry immediately cursed back, and his face turned red with anger.
Although Wade knew that he was not in any "juvenile school", Harry still felt humiliated.
"Hey, do you want to try our fists, Potter?"
Peter and several other boys immediately clenched their fists and surrounded him, and someone shouted to Dudley behind him: "Dudley, we need to teach your annoying cousin a lesson!"
Harry held the wand and began to struggle again in his heart-he still remembered that he could not use magic here.
Seeing his action, Dudley immediately took two steps back.
"Please, boys, don't make trouble here!" The cashier of the supermarket immediately shouted.
Wade shook his head and said, "Go out for a while?"
"Go out? Who do you think you are?" Pete said provocatively.
"Harry's friend." Wade said, "Or if you are willing to admit that you just came out of the toilet and had a meal, so you are full of shit, we will not care about what you said just now."
"Or, you just dare to provoke Harry because you have a good temper and have been patient? What's the difference between you and the Chihuahua who pees and poops on the ground and thinks he is powerful?"
"Oh, there is still a difference. Chihuahuas are at least cute. If you go out, you will lower the appearance level of the British, right?"
Pete's eyes widened, his mouth was speechless, and he couldn't say anything for a long time. Even Harry looked at Wade in shock.
To be honest, even if they quarreled, they would say "damn", "hell", "go to hell" and so on.
"Mudblood" was the most vicious word Harry had ever heard. He had never thought that Wade was really good at scolding people.
Peter pointed at Wade and made an incomprehensible sound of "Ahhhhh". After a while, he shouted loudly: "Come out! I will beat you half to death today."
"Wow... so scary..."
Ved's expressionless reading made the man on the other side so angry that he jumped up and shouted: "Come out! Come out!"
He stuffed the cart to Harry and said: "Go check out."
Then he followed the men out.
"Wait, Wade!"
Harry hurriedly pushed the cart to catch up, but was stopped by the cashier when he was about to go out.
"Check out, kid!"
Harry took out a handful of money and put it on the counter. He was about to go out to find someone, but was pulled back by the cashier again.
"Wait, I haven't given you the change yet!"
"I'm in a hurry! I'll come back to you later!" Harry said hurriedly.
The cashier didn't let go and said stubbornly: "If you don't come back, who should I go to? Do I have to put everything back?"
No matter how slow Harry was, he realized that the cashier was deliberately blocking him. He said anxiously and angrily: "Why are you stopping me? My friend is going to fight with them!"
"Aren't you often chased and beaten?" The cashier said directly: "Even if you go, you can't help. It's better not to get involved in such things!"
"Wade had a conflict with them because of me!"
Harry struggled hard, shook off the cashier's hand and rushed out the door, almost bumping into someone.
"Slow down." Wade helped him and walked in and said: "Why didn't you take the food?"
"Wade? Wait...you're back so soon?" Harry asked in surprise: "Where are Pete and Dudley?"
"They're crying! Don't worry about them." Wade said casually.
