Warhammer: In the Name of the Emperor

Chapter 54 Works

I have written so much, and I just took this opportunity to explain some things. I believe that some readers are confused, so I will explain it here.

First of all, regarding the issue of time travel, this book is not about a time traveler as the protagonist. Although I did think about writing about a time traveler, after all, the audience is wider and everyone is happy to read it, but in the end I still chose to write about an indigenous protagonist based on many considerations.

The first is that the existence of time travel is very strong. Let alone throwing a modern person into a unique future world like 40K, let alone our generation going back far, back to the collective era of the 1970s, or even the 1980s that just ended, I am afraid that most people would be at a loss.

Because the huge differences in society are not that simple, different living environments and working methods are difficult to adapt quickly. For example, if you travel back to the 1970s, many people probably don’t even know how to use food coupons and cloth coupons, and don’t know that you have to go to the collective canteen for meals, so it is even more difficult to travel to 40K.

So I don’t really want to forcibly ignore and pretend that this huge difference does not exist, and then write a very awkward time traveler, just like most cool articles ignore the logic of facts and want to write a good book.

Another thing is that the author wants to write a story with a little depth, rather than just having fun, so I designed a character like Vito. I personally think that a "native" protagonist is easier to integrate into the world view, this story and the background, and it is easier to create. This may also be due to my own reading habits.

I have never liked the current popular Japanese light novel style. Although it is easy and fun to read, I think it is just like fast food and has no nutritional value. Of course, I know that many people like this type. Many people read novels just for fun. I don’t object, but I still want to follow my own heart first.

In fact, it is not ruled out that I will write a time traveler type in the future. After all, if everyone doesn’t like the native type, I will also make compromises. Self-entertainment is not a good thing. Of course, I hope everyone likes this one now.

There is also the problem of the firepower of the Nest Gang at the beginning. In fact, I know that the intensity is outrageous, but my understanding of novels is to write a good story first, and then whether it strictly conforms to the setting. I don’t really want to write a novel as rigorous as a thesis. That would be too troublesome and too tiring.

In fact, the official Warhammer novels rarely mention gang wars. The reason is that gang wars are very boring. Basically, it is just a fight between gangsters to level up. There is nothing interesting about the weapons. It can be said that it is not very exciting. This is also the case in many places. It can be said that I actually magnified the firepower of the Warhammer universe a lot. The reason is as stated in the Star Wars setting collection.

If you pursue the rigor of the setting infinitely, you will miss a lot of wonderful pictures, wonderful stories and plots. So I made some exaggerations in this regard, and tried to control the exaggeration within a reasonable range. I need to admit that I do have many problems in textual research, and this mistake cannot be avoided.

I welcome your criticism and corrections. I will try my best to be perfect. I can see your opinions. I actually read the comments every day, but sometimes I don’t have time to reply, but I will try my best to respond to your questions.

Once again, I hope you like this book, and I also hope that you can help promote it, collect it and vote. Thank you for your reading.
