Chapter 609 [2] [Qin Jue 0724] Interview with "The Gathering of Wonderful Shadows"

"RayE"·Exclusive interviews with actors (Part 2)

——

[Qin Jue: The crew and fans are all home]

Q: Your considerations are very broad, and I think it’s not just about actors. Do you have any experience in film and television production?

A: If working as a crew member counts (laughs). During the period of "The Cage", I stayed on the set and tried many jobs, including part-time job, lighting assistant, photography assistant, action designer, etc. I said I didn't want a salary, just a place to stay, and Director Jiang indulged me. When I actually came into contact with such a "crew machine", I felt a sense of awe and was very moved. I learned a lot of knowledge and got used to hanging around on the crew. After joining the cast of the next movie, I often go to "take classes", eat lunch and chat with the main creative staff, extras, and small workers.

Q: No wonder most of the interns who have worked with you in "Entertainment Intern" mentioned that you are very skilled in shooting tasks of all sizes.

A: Not skilled, but they are more specialized. I am just a wild child with a mixed bag of skills (laughs). It's better to leave professional things to professionals. For things other than acting, I am better at and more suitable to assist.

Q: I have to mention "The Crucible". In the absence of a director, you, Yuan Xiao and others still presented very wonderful works.

A: It’s the result of everyone’s joint efforts. The shortcomings of our personnel must be made up to a large extent by the assistants provided by the program team. Thank you to all the skilled teachers.

Q: "The Crucible" can be regarded as a small peak of your interpretation of tragedy. The "Empty Monument" and "Feiyan" before and after this are also BE works. What do you think about tragedy? Would you rather act out tragedy?

A: I have indeed acted in many tragedies since my debut. I feel that I have a lot of "advantages" in this. Judging from the results, tragedy is more impressive than comedy, and it makes me known to more viewers, making me more frightened. From the performance point of view, there are many negative things in my own experience. If it is a tragedy, it will be easier to empathize with the character and it will be easier to enter the drama. But as an actor, professionalism and self-breakthrough are equally important. I will not avoid him just because I am not good at playing any type of role. I had a lot of fun playing "Father and Son".

Q: Are you a pessimistic person?

A: Yes before. During the period when the state is at its worst, there will be mania and depression, and sometimes bipolar somatization will occur. Although he is neither world-weary nor anti-social, he does find life boring. However, I feel much better after watching The Psycho and finishing the second movie. I also want to thank my family (fans) for this.

Q: As far as I know, you call your fans "family members". Can you tell me the reason for this? Are they a big part of your acting career?

A: Definitely yes. Many of them have been with me since "The Cage" and have been witnesses of my own transformation and reconciliation. There are also many Qingqings (fan names) here who are in similar situations or moods to me. We work hard to live a positive life together. We are companions, and we are like comrades fighting the difficulties of life hand in hand. "Family" is because...at that time, I was in a vacuum period of intimate relationships. The doctor also suggested that "you should try to have more contact with the world." But at that time, he was paying attention to me, was relatively closest to me, was willing and... It is convenient to free up my mind to support the people I care about who are my fans, so I regard them as family. This relationship and relationship have been maintained to this day, which is very precious.

Q: Is there anything you want to say to your family?

A: Take good care of yourself and just look at my works and me when you have nothing to do.

——

[Qin Jue: Don’t be afraid of trial and error, your work is the best report card]

Q: You put your work before yourself.

A: Yeah. Because I'm an actor. Works are an actor's best report card.

Q: But there is also a saying that "since fans are fans, it means they will pay more attention to the actors themselves." What do you think of it?

A: No conflict. There are people in my family who like to watch me act, like to hear me sing, or they simply think that the three views of my personality are compatible and like to chat with me. This includes concepts such as movie fans and fans. Perhaps because the audience is so complex, it can only be summarized by the word "fans" for convenience, but this does not mean that fans are not audiences. And since they are audiences, it means that they have the right to enjoy, review, and judge the works. As an actor, I naturally have to deal with the audience. To put it in the most straightforward terms, I hope that I can achieve “when people watch my works, they won’t feel that it’s not worth the ticket price or a waste of time.” I think this is the basic professional quality of an actor.

Q: I am very idealistic, calm and confident.

A: It should.

Q: Speaking of confidence, you said before that you were self-study and tried more roles to hone your acting skills. You often "went astray", but your expression did not reveal worry or panic. Is this confidence or pressure resistance?

A: Well, maybe not? (Laughs) My self-feeling should be magnanimous. If you take the wrong path or perform poorly, correct it in time. I don’t often feel pressure. Compared with pressure, I usually maintain a moderate amount of tension, so that I can mobilize my emotions at any time to act.

Q: Are you ever afraid of making mistakes?

A: No. I'm not afraid of making mistakes, on the contrary I'm happy to see it because then you know where you're going wrong. Even if you still don't know which is the right path to take, at least you can now eliminate a wrong option. Thinking about it from another perspective means that you are one step closer to true success.

Q: If your mistake affects the operation of the crew or affects other people, how would you deal with it? Are you not afraid or have other negative emotions?

A: I will feel sorry, and I will be worried if the matter is serious, but I will not be afraid. Because the most important thing at the moment is to solve the problem. We must first face up to the mistake and admit it, and then apologize and make amends. Personal emotions are of little use here. Especially in the crew, everyone makes mistakes for various reasons. Maybe a breeze blows over, the hair scratches the face too much, and the actor laughs. There are many such things. The most efficient way to deal with it is to laugh and say sorry. Then keep a straight attitude and continue filming, and others will get to work immediately. It is normal to fall into embarrassment, self-blame, worry and fear, etc., but if excessive emotional internal consumption will affect your own state and cause more trouble to others, it is better to face it directly and calmly, take action first, and settle things properly.

Q: Although this is off topic, are you really only twenty years old?

A: Hahahaha, I understand that you are praising me.

Q: Was there ever a time when you were very tired while filming? Did you encounter any serious difficulties?

A: There have been difficulties, and the crying scene was a hurdle at the beginning. If I am tired, if I am completely immersed in a character with strong tragic overtones, my mood and state will deteriorate. Now I can basically control it better than before, but if there are some physiological effects, such as diet and sleep, I may fall into fatigue. Yes, but sometimes I deliberately pursue this effect in order to better integrate into the character (laughs). My family members worry about me and say it’s too masochistic, but some people say it’s so dedicated.

Q: What do you think?

A: I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Actors should dedicate themselves to the show. As long as you can't die, just give it a try and the film will be good.

Q: Have you ever felt like “acting is so tiring and I don’t want to do it anymore”?

A: No. Acting is quite fun.

Q: It sounds like "addicted to drama". Do you have an addiction to drama?

A: Yes. I think there are more or less actors who like acting, and it’s easy for people to get addicted to it if they have a hobby.

Q: Do you think acting is more of a hobby than work?

A: Yes. It’s very advantageous, you can do what you like and make money at the same time (laughs). Other than acting, it is a standard job. I will work hard to complete the task like a social animal, while mentally looking forward to getting off work early.

Q: Hey, like what?

A: For example, shooting for magazines... (laughs)

Q: Does it include current interviews? (laugh)

A: Not really. We talked so much about acting and I was so happy.

Q: It reminds me of my child. The way he happily held up the Rubik's Cube he just put together to show me was similar to your expression just now.

A: It’s love, that’s right.

Q: The eyes are sparkling.

A: Don't say it, it's a bit embarrassing.

Q: Hahahaha, okay, last question, apart from all the above, what else have you gained since your debut as an actor?

A: Like-minded partners. Especially in "Entertainment Intern", everyone works together in the same direction, becomes a team, trusts each other, tolerates each other, and then grows and progresses together. This feeling is particularly good.

Q: This answer brings a very successful conclusion to our exclusive interview. Thank you actor Qin Jue and I look forward to your next works.

A: Thank you. Thanks for your hard work.
