In the Fourth Middle East War, although the PLO guerrillas did not participate in the formal war, they assisted the Egyptian and Syrian troops in launching guerrilla warfare and attacking Israeli military facilities such as bases, warehouses and radar stations, becoming a major concern for Israel.
Therefore, for Israel, attacking Lebanon, completely destroying the power of the PLO, and supporting Lebanon to become a pro-Israel country is their important goal!
