Chapter 87
"Ain, fill up the wine!"
Michael Kuritz's heroic voice sounded in the bar, "Everyone's glass is full!"
Ain Bailey, holding the bottle, poured half a glass of whisky into the glasses of Matthew, Michael Kulitz, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.
"Okay!" yelled James McAvoy, "ready to go!"
He took a spoon, put it on the table, turned it, the spoon spun quickly, and finally the handle pointed to Matthew.
"me……"
Matthew had no choice but to pick up the card in front of him, instead of looking at the front of the card, he took the double-sided tape that Michael Fassbender handed over, and stuck the card face out on his forehead.
This is obviously a game.
The crew had two days off, and Matthew had nowhere to go, so he simply went to London with these people during the day, and played games and drinks together at night.
This is a guessing game, each person writes a movie protagonist on the front of the card, and then shuffles and deals one. The chosen person sticks the card on his forehead so that others can see it. The guesser can tell each of the four people. When a person asks a question once, the answerer can only say yes or no. If they still can't guess, they will drink the whisky in the glass. If they guess correctly, the other four will drink according to the number of questions asked.
For example, when Matthew asked the first question, he guessed that each of them would have four drinks, two questions would be three, and so on.
"Come on, Matthew!" urged Michael Fassbender. "Let's go!"
"Well!"
Although the cards are all about the protagonists in the movie, the scope is still very wide, and Matthew didn't expect to be able to guess the first question. He asked Michael Fassbender first, "Is this an American?"
"Yes!" Michael Fassbender nodded.
Matthew thought about it, then asked James McAvoy, "Is this a man?"
James McEvoy responded immediately, "Yes!"
"What a coincidence." Matthew thought of the card he wrote and asked Michael Kuritz, "Does he like saving the world?"
Michael Kuritz opened his mouth and admitted, "Yes."
Matthew stopped asking questions, laughed twice, reached out to touch the card on his forehead, and said at the same time, "Superman!"
After he finished speaking, he took down the card on his forehead, and then froze for a while, it said that it was not Superman at all, but Batman!
"Who wrote this?" Matthew asked the others. "Who? I wrote Superman, you wrote Batman, and I thought..."
Michael Fassbender interrupted him, "Matthew! Why is there so much nonsense, accept the bet and lose!"
Matthew picked up the glass and drank the whisky in one gulp. Without changing his face, he said, "Come again!"
"Wait," James McAvoy said to Michael Fassbender, looking toward the entrance to the bar. "Here's your nemesis at the Central London Drama School."
Michael Fassbender also looked over there, "Why did he come to this set?"
Matthew turned his head and looked at the door of the bar. He saw a young man just walked in. The man was not tall, but very strong.
"Who is this?" he asked.
"Tom Hardy." Michael Fassbender said directly. "A bastard."
The man also saw Michael Fassbender, so he walked over, and when he arrived near the table where Matthew was, he tapped Michael Fassbender with his chin, "What a coincidence, Mike."
Matthew was the closest to the door of the bar, and Tom Hardy was the first to come behind him. "When I was shooting a few days ago, I felt that someone was familiar, but I didn't expect it to be you."
"Yeah, what a coincidence." Michael Fassbender smiled like a shark. "Sit down and have a drink."
Tom Hardy smiled disdainfully, stepped forward, put his hand on the back of Matthew's chair,
"With you?" He shook his head, "I made an appointment with a friend."
Matthew could hear that Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender were very disrespectful, but the two were restrained. Except for running on words and sarcasm, they did not do anything too outrageous.
He didn't know what was the conflict between the two, so he didn't speak, but when Tom Hardy raised his hand to speak and wanted to support him on the back of his chair again, he suddenly moved the chair forward and let him Tom Hardy grabbed it.
Tom Hardy looked down at Matthew, saw an unfamiliar face, snorted arrogantly, and ran a few words with Michael Fassbender, left here to find an empty table, the appointment Soon they came to the bar. What Matthew and others didn't expect was that the man who had an appointment with him turned out to be the actor Damian Lewis.
"Hi, Damian." Matthew had just played with him a few days ago, and he was considered acquaintance. "Come over for a drink?"
Damian Lewis is very good at being a man. He greeted Matthew and the others one by one and said, "I'll invite you another day."
Matthew didn't force himself, he said politely and let him go to Tom Hardy's table.
"You have a conflict with him?" Michael Kuritz looked at Tom Hardy curiously.
Michael Fassbender didn't hide it, "It's too exaggerated to say that the enemy is James. It's nothing more than when I was at the drama school, I competed for a few roles in the academy troupe. Sometimes I won, and sometimes he won."
When Michael Kuriz heard it, he lost interest, "Is that so?"
"He said it too simply." James McAvoy took a sip from his glass. "This man is famous for being careful, because his father is a screenwriter of some status in London, and he often makes small moves behind his back. Michael has suffered a few losses. ."
Michael Fassbender didn't seem to care. "It's all little things."
This is simple, but Matthew can see that Michael Fassbender is not very happy, and judging from the Tom West incident, he is not the kind of person who suffers a loss and keeps it in his heart.
"He knew Damian?" Matthew changed the subject.
"There's nothing strange about that," James McAvoy replied. "His parents are both in the British literary and artistic circles."
With Tom Hardy coming out, the atmosphere between several people was not as warm as before, and after drinking another glass of wine, they left the bar at the suggestion of Matthew.
Walking on the cold and windy road, Michael Kulitz asked, "What's next? Find a place to party?"
"Forget it." James McAvoy was blown by the wind, and the wine was full. "I'm dizzy and want to go back to sleep."
Michael Fassbender echoed, "I'm going to go back to sleep too."
Matthew looked at the time, "Then go back to the hotel and sleep in tomorrow!"
When filming, I had to get up early every day, it took a lot of time to make up, and it was impossible for the crew to wait for actors like them.
Back at the hotel, he took a shower, and Matthew fell asleep. He slept very sweetly until he was woken up by the ringing of his mobile phone in the morning.
He took out his mobile phone from under the pillow, and without looking at the number, he pressed the answer button and said angrily, "Who is it? It's so early..."
"It's me, Helen." Helen Herman's voice came from the receiver. "I'm in London. On the way to Hatfield Airport, I'll be at your hotel in fifteen minutes."
Matthew sat up directly, "Helen, what are you doing?"
"There is business to deal with here." Helen Herman's voice was flat, "By the way, let's see if you're in trouble."
"Okay, I won't tell you." Matthew was too lazy to respond and said directly, "I'll get up now, and I'll wait for you at the restaurant on the first floor of the hotel in a while."
Hanging up the phone, he washed up as quickly as possible, changed into formal clothes, and hurried out of the room to the restaurant on the first floor. Since it was not too late, there was also a buffet-style breakfast to enjoy.
Matthew picked out a few meals and brought them to the entrance of the restaurant. Before a piece of bacon was finished, Helen Herman appeared at the entrance of the restaurant.
When she came in, she saw Matthew and walked over directly.
"Have you eaten breakfast?" Matthew pointed to the dining area, "If you haven't eaten, you can go get some and swipe my card."
The crew provided these actors with meal cards, which could be used in the hotel where they stayed and in the restaurant on the set. Just like when the "Gladiator" crew was filming, the crew's dietary treatment was impeccable.
Helen Herman was wearing a professional suit, raised her eyes, pulled out the chair and sat opposite Matthew, and said, "No, I ate at the airport."
Matthew was not polite. He forked a piece of bacon and put it in two slices of bread. He took a big bite. Helen Herman looked at his watch and said, "I have an appointment at ten o'clock, and the time is tight..."
Before she finished speaking, someone came from behind and greeted Matthew loudly, "Hi, Matthew, it's so early."
Helen Herman looked up at him, who happened to be looking at her.
The person who came over was Michael Kuritz, looking at Helen Herman and asking, "Matthew, is this your girlfriend?"
Before Matthew and Helen Herman could speak, he eagerly stretched out his hand, "Hello, I'm Michael Kuritz..."
Helen Herman didn't shake his hand at all and said directly, "I'm Matthew Horner's agent."
"Uh..." Michael Kuritz was stunned for a moment, then said embarrassedly, "Sorry, sorry."
Helen Herman nodded, ignoring him, and Matthew gave Michael Kuritz a wink.
Michael Kuritz was also very familiar with Matthew, and immediately walked away, muttering as he walked, "Isn't it a waste to be an agent when she looks so beautiful..."
"The actor of the crew." Matthew explained, "a very straightforward person."
"Well." Helen Herman lowered her voice slightly, "Time is limited, I'll be leaving in a while."
Matthew deliberately put on a look of disappointment, "No way? Are you really stopping by to see me?"
Helen Herman ignored his words and said, "I gave you the opportunity to walk the red carpet of the premiere of the film you participated in..."
